Effective August 13, 2026
This policy covers information collected through this site and through our email correspondence. Padfinder is a business-to-business operation and the information we collect is overwhelmingly business contact information.
Information you give us. When you submit the equipment intake form, the demand capture form, or contact us directly: your name, company, business email, business phone, equipment location, equipment specifications, and any photographs or notes you provide.
Information from public and commercial sources. We identify companies that may have equipment to sell or a need to buy, using public filings (including WARN Act notices), public auction listings, company websites, and commercial business-contact databases. We collect business role information such as name, title, company, and business contact details.
Technical information. Standard server logs and basic analytics: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed at children.
To respond to your inquiry, evaluate and price equipment, match equipment to buyers, arrange testing and freight, complete transactions, keep records of transactions we have done, send business correspondence about equipment that may be relevant to you, operate and improve the site, and meet legal and tax obligations.
We share information only where it is needed:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
We send business correspondence to business contacts about equipment we source and sell. Every message identifies us, includes a physical mailing address, and includes a way to opt out. If you opt out we will stop sending, though we may still respond to an inquiry you initiate or to a transaction already in progress.
We keep inquiry and correspondence records while a relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward. We keep transaction records, including equipment specifications, test results, and provenance information, indefinitely, because equipment history has ongoing value to future owners and because tax and legal obligations require it.
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, or to stop sending you email, by writing to TODO_EMAIL. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to keep certain records to meet legal obligations or to complete a transaction in progress.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. Contact us at TODO_EMAIL and we will tell you how those apply.
We use essential cookies to operate the site and basic analytics to understand traffic. You can block cookies in your browser; some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.
We may update this policy. Material changes take effect when posted with a revised effective date.
